Are You Looking For Massive Readers for Your Blog ? Many new bloggers have recently asked me how to get people to visit their blog . Let me say up front that ‘getting hits’ isn’t everything – there are other reasons to blog than simply to have your thoughts read – for some its more about the process of writing and what is learned along the way, for others its about writing for their family and friends. I guess it comes down to priorities. Having said that – most bloggers deep down must have some desire to have people read what they write – if not why not just keep a private diary on your computer? MTN Nigeria Sacks OVER 250 Long-Serving Workers, Others...See Details  Telecommunications giant, MTN Nigeria, has hit hard at its workforce, knocking off several long-serving members of staff.   South African telecoms firm, MTN, on Friday, sacked 280 of its employees in Nigeria, in a major job cut that affected about 15% of the company’s entire Nigerian workforce.   According to Premium Times, those affected by the move include some 200 permanent employees and about 80 contract staff across various cadres, ranging from new graduates to senior managers, multiple sources revealed.   Many of those sacked spent up to 15 years with the company having joined MTN as it opened its business in Nigeria in 2001.   Sources said affected workers were given a dismal severance of 75% of their gross monthly income multiplied by the number of years with the company.   “Given that the company is about 16 years old in Nigeria, the severance...

Pay Our Salaries, We Are Hungry- Drama as Ekiti Workers Lash Out at Fayose During May Day Celebration Workers who had come out to participate in the May Day celebrations in Ekiti State, have lashed out at Governor Fayose over their salaries.   Serious drama took over this year’s May Day celebration in Ekiti State on Monday when workers demanded payment of their salaries.   According to The Nation, the state workers are owed six months arrears while local government employees have not been paid for seven months.   The workers shouted “salary! salary!! salary!!!” as Fayose was rounding off his address.   Some of them shouted: “Osoko, we are hungry.”   But Fayose replied: “I can only pay your salaries when I get cash backing from Abuja.
